For the second year running, Roaming Spirits Coffee ran the espresso bar inside the PGA Championship broadcast village. In May 2026 that meant Aronimink, outside Philadelphia, and 600+ production crew from CBS, ESPN and Sky Sports. Over seven days on bar, the Roaming Spirits Coffee team handcrafted 4,256 drinks.
Producers, camera operators, sound techs, editors, cable crews and on-air talent, working 14-hour shifts from 4 a.m. call times. Coffee had to keep pace with the coverage schedule which means planning coffee catering to serve a full day, managing peak volume times around the meal catering schedule as well as weather delays and unforeseen events that occur during a week of live broadcasting.
We built a full café, not a cart on a table:
The commercial equipment and custom espresso bars were transported from North Carolina and assembled on site. Coffee catering at this scale requires precision logistics and a team that understands the complexity of inventory management, transportation and execution at a production level.
A signature menu was designed around a golf theme: the Club House Classic, The Back Nine, The Driver, the Match Play Mocha and the Pin High Chai.
By mid-week the barista team knew most orders before the crew reached the counter. Crew members came back between coverage windows like regulars. “You are the real MVPs,” one told us. Another: “We couldn’t have survived the week without you.”
By the end of the week, crew members were leaving five-star Google reviews.
Roaming Spirits Coffee travels for production level activations. Send the dates, location and crew size, and we’ll build the espresso catering service unique to your schedule.
